Communications & media leader
Twenty years inside leading newsrooms — The New York Times, STAT, Scientific American — earning Emmys, a Tribeca selection, and a George Polk Award. I know what makes a story connect with reporters, editors, and the public, and how to reach audiences at scale.
01 — About
I'm an award-winning communications and media leader with two decades of experience turning complex science and technology into work that earns national coverage and reaches broad audiences. I lead all video, audio, and graphics storytelling as Chief Multimedia Editor/Executive Producer at Scientific American — one of the most trusted science brands in the world.
Before SciAm, I built the multimedia operation from scratch at STAT (Boston Globe Media), and spent nine years at The New York Times producing across the science, international, magazine, and culture desks, and managing brand social accounts that I grew by over two million followers. I also teach at Columbia Journalism School.
I was a MIT Knight Science Journalism Fellow. I am an FAA-certified drone pilot. And I will always be an unapologetic production gearhead. I hold an M.S. in Journalism and an M.A. in Earth & Environmental Science from Columbia, and a B.A. with honors from Wesleyan University.
